Description
CAD/CAM milled abutments are custom-designed implant abutments fabricated using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technology. They are used as the intermediate component between the dental implant and the final restoration (crown, bridge, or denture).
Material: Typically made from titanium, zirconia, or hybrid materials, ensuring strength, biocompatibility, and durability.
Purpose: CAD/CAM technology allows the creation of patient-specific abutments that perfectly fit the implant platform, soft tissue contours, and prosthetic requirements, optimizing both function and aesthetics.
These abutments are particularly useful in aesthetic zones (anterior teeth) or in cases where off-the-shelf abutments cannot achieve optimal angulation or emergence profile.
