Description
A dental crown is a full-coverage restoration designed to completely encase a damaged or decayed tooth, providing both functional and aesthetic benefits. Crowns are custom-made to fit over the entire visible portion of the tooth, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns are used when a tooth is severely damaged, weakened from decay, or after a root canal treatment to protect and strengthen the tooth. Crowns can be made from a variety of materials, including porcelain, zirconia, gold, composite, and metal alloys. The choice of material depends on the tooth’s location, aesthetic preferences, and functional requirements.
